This great smoothie from Joe Wicks is my favorite smoothie to have at breakfast and I will also explain to you why it is so good for you to have in the mornings

How to make this Smoothie

Favourite smoothie: Nut and Mango Smoothie

(serves 1) Ingredients:

125g sliced mango

2tbsp almond or cashew butter

Handful of ice cubes

Handful of raspberries

2tbsp full-fat Greek yogurt

1 scoop(30g) vanilla or strawberry protein powder

I also like to add only a little bit of coconut butter (optional)

100ml almond milk (for a good source of fat, I put in some coconut butter and instead of the almond milk I use the coconut milk which gives it a creamier texture)

Don’t go nuts with the nuts! Has lots of calories!


Put all the ingredients into a blender and blend them until nice and smooth, I like it cold so I add some ice before blending.

Why I like it:  When I found out this smoothie had some good source of fats and that they help my brain function better I was keen to try it. I also love the fruity flavor, which is ideal to kick start my day. The mango gives it a nice sweetness and the coconut oil/butter makes the smoothie lovely and creamy, just like a milkshake. This smoothie is very beneficial because you are getting loads of nutrients and fiber from the fruit plus of course the good fats from the coconut butter and cashew nut butter.
