Curly hair don’t care! | Naturally curl your hair

Curl your hair naturally

Hi Glow Girl!

Welcome back to another post! Today, I am very excited to share with you 3 easy and simple ways you can curl your hair naturally!

I am sure by now you have noticed that I love to help girls with beauty tips to make them glow naturally and every beauty tip I share on my blog I will try my best to make sure it is as natural as possible. J

So, that being said I am showing your 3 ways to curl your hair without using any heat because from my research I have found out that using heat on your hair can make the end of your hairs split, so therefore your hair will not be in great condition, so avoid heat on your hair if you can!

I am going to try and explain these ways to curl your hair, as clear as possible and hopefully the pictures will help explain as well!

  1. Plating your hair, overnight! (Wavy and subtle curls)

I am sure a lot of you are already aware of this tip, but I thought I would mention it in today’s post because plating your hair is a quick and simple way to curl your hair.

If you are plating your hair, I would recommend plating your hair in French braids, Dutch braids or a fishtail because those hairstyles will do a better job at making your hair curly. Also, another tip for getting good curls is to make sure your hair is damp.

Don’t worry, if you are not that great at hairstyles, I am sure you know that there are lots of tutorial on YouTube that can help you do all kind off braids or if you have a person in your family that is good at doing braids then beg them to do it for you! 🙂

Unless, you keep your braids in for day and days, plating your hair will not give you really dramatic curls but it will give you nice subtle beach waves for your everyday hairstyle.

  1. Twist, twist and twist! (big classic curls)

This way of curling your hair involves a lot of twisting! But, it will give you some fabulous curls! J

All you have to do is ……

Step 1. Part your hair down the middle, in order to get the best curls, make sure your hair is damp! Also, make sure you brush your hair really well.

Step 2. Start with one side and get the top layer of your hair and split it into 2 sections and twist it over. Also, as you twist start adding some hair to one hand and then twist over and then do it on the other hand and keep alternating. Keep repeating this motion until you reach the base of your neck.

NOTE: As you grab the layers of hair make sure to grab the hair right at the back of your head, so you don’t have any hair sticking out and also make sure the twist is as tight as possible, so it won’t fall out when you sleep on it.

Step 3. Once you have got to the point where you have grabbed all the layers of your hair you can continue to just twist all the way down and then twist your hair round into a bun. Make sure the bun is as tight as possible! After, secure the bun with a hairband.

Step 4. Repeat everything you have done on the other side. 🙂

It takes about 6 hours for the curls to form, so I do recommend sleeping in this, so you have good curls in the morning.

  1. Get the socks!!! (dramatic curls)

Yes, you guessed it we are going to be curling your hair with socks! This is such a cool trick I have been taught to do and it has given me some great dramatic curls. So, if you want your hair to be as curly as possible then follow the steps…

Step 1.  Always start with brushing your hair and make sure your hair is damp.

Step 2. Section off a piece of your hair. If you want your hair to have tight curls, then section of a small piece but if you want your curls looser then section of a bigger piece of hair.

Step 3. Now, this is where the fun begins! Take one sock and start from the bottom of the hair and roll it upwards and then go ahead and tie a knot with the sock, to make sure it is tight and secure.

WARNING: I would definitely recommend using clean socks! 🙂

So, it is very simple and easy and has amazing results. You might think that it would be uncomfortable to sleep with but to prevent it from hurting when sleeping, just makes sure you keep your knots at your neck line and not too far up your head.

I hope you have enjoyed this post and I am hoping you have learnt a few good ways to curl your hair, without using any heat! Make sure that once you have curly hair add some hairspray to make the curls last! 🙂
