My 1 year Homeschooling Anniversary

1 year homeschooling anniversary

Hi Glow Girl!

Today is the day! I have officially been homeschooled for a year 🙂

I am so excited that I can finally be able to write this post for you. I have been thinking a lot about what I would like to talk about in this post and I came to the conclusion that it is a great opportunity to review my year and to mention lots of the achievements and opportunities that I have been able to experience.

  • Started working!

This is something that I have always wanted to do. Being able to be introduced to the working life and to be able to experience all the challenges and advantages of having a job, especially at a very young age is amazing!

I work at a hotel and I have had experiences at waitressing, using coffee machines and much more. When I go to work I am always learning something new and it will mostly be life skills which I will need to know when I am older, which is great! Yes, there has been lots of challenges, but it has only made me grow stronger. 🙂

If you want to know more about my experience at working at such a young age than I would love for you to check out this post: (link)

  • I have also discovered the exercise app ‘Tone it up’.

Tone it app is not just a exercise app I have discovered recently its a wonderful community, which I am proud to be a part of 🙂

Tone it up is a wellbeing community that is based around exercising but also they provide content to help look after yourself by eating well etc. I discovered them from a friend and then a couple of days later, I started using their app, where I will join live exercise classes almost every single day. I have also followed a lot of their nutrition plans.

The founders of Tone it Up, are 2 best friends called Katrina and Karena.

Make sure you check out their website:

  • Personal development course

I have recently been introduced to this course called project glow. I am working through the course now and I am really enjoying it so far.

Let me tell you a little bit about this course:

Project GLOW, stands for:

G – Gratitude

L – love

O – ownership

W – Wisdom

This course is to help you learn how to appreciate yourself first, its really based around personal development. I am really happy and fortunate to be able to be a part of the course and to be able to have the time to go through the course and to learn how to fall in love with myself and to give myself time to focus on me! I know that if I was at school I definitely wouldn’t be able to have time to take part in the exiting courses like project glow. So, thats why I am very lucky to be able to be in the position I am in today where I can build in the time to do some personal development.

* Cooking and improving my health

Another great thing I have time for is cooking. This is something I really enjoy doing especially with my mum.

The thing I really love when cooking is being able to have the time to create my own healthy recipes which I can share with my readers and also being able to try lots of different foods.

I have also realised that I am definitely eating a lot more healthy because when I was at school there was a lot of temptation and persuasion to eat unhealthily. Also, the school lunches were not particularly great.

When I am at home I am eating much better and also drinking a lot more water. So, my health has really improved as a result of being homeschooled 🙂

  • Lastly, of course my blog 🙂

One of the most wonderful blessings that came out of me choosing to be homeschooled is I am able to do this blog. This is something that I am sure will always be a big part of my life. Being homeschooled gives me the time to work on my blog and get me even clearer on what my mission is in life.

Because of doing my blog, I have attended a few great blog courses this year, which I have really enjoyed doing.

Doing my blog allows me to be myself, and one of the advantages of being homeschooled for me was to be able to be myself because at school I felt like I couldn’t be myself and I feel like I can finally express the real me throughout my blog.

Well, what can I say! I have had one amazing year and I am so grateful to be able to be in the position I am today.

This is just the beginning, Who knows what the future holds!

Have a great day and thank you for reading 🙂

Ella x
